ESQ strives to perpetuate the art and craft of quilt-making through fellowship, education and service. It was founded in 2001 when a group of individuals who met in an adult education class wished to take their quilting journey further. From this small group, Evening Star Quilters now has 75+ members from Nassau and Suffolk counties, New York City boroughs, and even a few out-of-state members. They range in quilting experience from “beginner” to “advanced.” ESQ welcomes all. Please join us!

The ESQ Guild meets on the first Thursday of each month.
Sign-In and Socialization at 7:00 pm, Speaker/Activity promptly at 7:15 pm.
Board meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.

2026 Mystery Quilt
	Our Mystery Quilt has started, but it’s not too late to join in! Look in the August newsletter for Clue #1 and this month’s . You won’t know what it will look like until you’re done! Just follow the instructions each month and you will complete the project by February.
September 3 – Lorelai Kuecker, Trunk Show
	Lorelai is the 17-year-old owner and artist of Pigs in a Blanket Quilting. Learn about her unique path to quilting, and how she discovered her hidden passion.
September 10 – Kathy D, Flip Flop Applique
	Kathy D. will teach a flip flop applique block that you can use to make a wall hanging, a table runner or even a pillow! Contact Cathy at CatCanQuilt@verizon.net to reserve your spot in the class! Learn Machine applique while making this fabulous project!
October 1 – Lori Dickman, Speedy Solutions for your Stash
	Do you have a huge collection of fabric that you are trying to organize? Are scraps taking over your sewing room? Lori Dickman will present her lecture titled “Speedy Solutions to Cut & Organize Your Scrap Stash.” Lori has devised a set of techniques that worked well and she will share her methods with us.
October 8 – Angela Z, Tote-ally Adorable!

June 11 & 25, 2026 – Tote Bag Workshop. Thank you to Dorothy for teaching our tote bag class and sharing her skills with our members. Everyone enjoyed the hands-on experience and went home with a finished bag to be proud of.
