In addition to receiving the monthly newsletter, Cuts From the Bolt, members are welcome to attend and participate in as many activities as they wish.  All activities are announced in the newsletter.

General Meetings
Our general meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 7pm.  See the Events page for details and whether the meeting is in person or via Zoom.  Throughout the year, we have a variety of speakers, activities, and fun.  Winter speakers are often via Zoom to avoid having last-minute cancellations due to weather.  In addition to speakers, we have an annual Charity Sew Night, Members-teaching-members nights, Trash-to-Treasure Auction, raffles, door prizes, trunk shows, and parties at our general meetings.  Most in-person meetings will also have an opportunity for Show & Tell.  Some meetings will have bargains available at the guild scrap table.  

Workshops *
Our program chairs work diligently to host a variety of speakers.  When there is interest among the members, a workshop may be organized if the speaker and meeting space are available.  Speak to the program chair if there is a particular topic that interests you.

Focus Groups
In addition to our general meetings, some members may decide they want to work on a specific pattern or project together.  They meet via Zoom to share their progress, and are always supportive and encouraging.  Ideal for trying a new technique or just getting to know each other better.  Click on the links below to learn more about the current focus groups.

Sit ‘n Sews
There is a monthly online Sit ‘n Sew via Zoom.  In-person Sit ‘n Sews are usually scheduled in the winter as space is available at the Community Center.  See the Events calendar for details.

Opportunity Quilt
The Opportunity Quilt is an annual fundraiser for our guild.  Members work together to create one beautiful quilt.  Any member is welcome to work on the quilt.  Each member is asked to sell a minimum of two raffle ticket books to support this fundraiser.  The winner is drawn at our November or December meeting.

Quilt Show
ESQ proudly hosts a judged quilt show every two years.  All members take part – whether they enter a quilt, sell raffle tickets, volunteer at the show, or donate a raffle prize.  With approximately 100 quilts on display, this is our guild’s time to shine.  There are vendors, a members’ boutique, and a wide variety of raffle prizes.  All members in good standing are welcome to enter a quilt in the show.

Volunteer
While our board members are elected by the membership, they are all volunteers. Feel free to contact a board member if you would like to be more involved in the guild or have a skill you would like to share. Feeling shy? Offer to sell raffle tickets or hold up quilts during a general meeting.  Your involvement will help our guild to thrive.
